Senior Connections fields teams of counselors and social workers under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist in nursing homes, assisted living and other facilities. Teams work together a minimum of two days a week in each facility, providing individual and group interventions for the following mental health needs:

To Correct Disorders and Increase Functionality To Maintain and Enhance Self-Sufficiency To Resolve Control Issues To Reduce Anxiety and Fear To Change Anger to Understanding To Improve Family Relationships To Encourage Socialization To Alleviate Depression To Stop Aggression To Enhance Spiritual Alignment To Find Meaning and Joy in Daily Living To Reduce the Symptoms of Alzheimer's To Encourage Compliance with Medical Orders To Promote Acclimatization to the New Environment To Enhance Relationships with Care Givers

Team members accomplish these goals by consulting and working closely with other team members, the facility staff, family members, and doctors. A variety of therapeutic techniques are used from validation and reflection to reality orientation, and each new team member is trained in the necessary skills needed to meet the patients' needs.
